Animals Today – Feb 26, 2012 – Taucher and Corcoran

On this show we revisited and updated two ongoing and important stories.

First, attorney Marla Taucher came on to discuss how the Hayden Law in California (the law that gives animals who enter shelters a few important days to get adopted or reunited before euthanasia) is threatened, and what pet  lovers need to do to prevent its repeal. We learned that Marla personally delivered tens of thousands of petitions to the Governor’s office.

Then, Lori discussed the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act with advocate and horse expert, Jo Claire Corcoran. She told us about a new campaign supporting horse welfare that children can participate in.  And the news with Peter.
