On this show, our featured guest was filmmaker Liz Marshall who discussed The Ghosts in Our Machine. This beautiful, haunting film is an exploration into the many ways non-human animals are abused and killed to become products and food. The story follows protagonist, photographer Jo-Anne McArthur, as she captures images of the animals, and also as she endeavors to find larger audiences for her powerful photographs.
Then, we recounted why Lori, Peter and UCSD Professor Larry Hansen wrote a letter to the editor of the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, after it published results of research involving surgery on rabbit eyes.
And news, including stray dog problems in Dallas, rescuing a python from a burning house, and a provoked dog attack upon an LAPD officer.
