Two fascinating guests appeared on this show
First up was Donald Cleary, Director of Communications and Publications, National Canine Research Council. He co-authored a recent paper in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, which described potentially preventable factors associated with fatal dog attacks. Lori and Don discussed the findings and its implications on public safety and breed specific legislation.
Then, did you know there are more privately owned tigers in the US than there are living wild in the entire world? Timothy Mather with Tigers in America joined Lori to examine why there are so many tigers in private hands in the country and what typically happens to them. All too often, there is abuse, neglect and early death from various causes.
And the California ORCA update.
