Dr. Kahn, who was just finishing his training when the pivotal Ornish study was published, advocates a healthy vegan diet as a central part of heart health for his patients. Then, to commemorate the Jewish Holidays Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Dr. Richard Schwartz provided his perspective on diet. Richard, a prolific author and former President, Jewish Vegetarians of North America, explained why Jews and others should consider vegetarian diets. We continued with our gripes about the annoying things our dogs and cats do around the house. Of course we love them, and we are not saying we are angry with them, but a few behaviors we would be happy to see end!
Then, we described how Advancing The Interests of Animals is promoting responsible companion animal guardianship in predominantly Spanish speaking communities.
