On this show, Professor Lisa Kemmerer joined Peter to discuss her book, Eating Earth- Environmental Ethics and Dietary Choice.
Peter and Lisa touched on each of the main topics in the volume, which are the environmental damage caused by farming, fishing and hunting. Using numerous diagrams, simple but powerful calculations and indisputable facts, Kemmerer’s book demonstrates how anyone who is concerned about the environment should eat in a way consistent with those concerns. The most powerful thing individuals can do to help the environment is to adopt a plant-based diet. We highly recommend this book to anyone with even a small interest in protecting the environment, and full-fledged environmentalists and vegans will appreciate her arguments and will be able to draw upon the book as a reference in their advocacy work.
Kemmerer is Professor of Philosophy and Religions at Montana State University Billings.
Then, Dr. Srinu Lingareddy returned to discuss how to protect dogs from Parvo.
