Have you thought about trying a plant-based diet? Well, if you have not yet adopted this healthful and compassionate practice, please listen to Lori’s persuasive argument for trying it now.
The show continues with Veterinarian Dr. Robert Reed, giving us the latest on prevention and treatment of heartworm disease.
Then, legal expert Bob Ferber joins Peter to talk about the new Connecticut law, which permits legal advocates for abused animals into courtrooms, in cases where animal abuse may have occurred. The advocates, attorneys or law students, will give animals a better voice under the law. It’s a huge step for animal rights.
We wrap up with Lori’s interview with California Assemblyman Marc Steinorth, who introduced a bill to protect citizens from civil litigation as well as criminal charges if they damage a vehicle while attempting to rescue an animal at risk in a hot car. The bill later passed! Great work.
