We begin with Shelly Fitzpatrick, who has traveled to South Korea twice to join activists working to end the consumption of dog and cat meat there. Politics, traditional culture and economics are all factors and currently, there are 17,000 dog farms in the country. Listen in to hear a first person account and learn how we can help end the consumption of pets in Asia.
Lori and Peter then continue with news stories including the new box for Animal Crackers, and survey results on the most pet friendly cities in the US. Scottsdale, Arizona, was ranked number one overall.
Next up with Lori is Dr. Doug Kunz, Medical Director at VCA Desert Animal Hospital in Palm Springs, California to speak about allergies in dogs. Food and environmental allergies are very common conditions that can cause great discomfort to our dogs and often lots of frustration for guardians. Dr. Kunz explains and gives solid advice on helping itchy dogs.
