On this show, Lori reviewed the status of dolphins in captivity with Courtney Vail, Campaigns and Programs Manager, Whale and Dolphin Conservation. With the recent exciting progress toward ending the captive orca industry (Blackfish and the consequent legislative action led by CA Representative Richard Bloom), Courtney gave an update on similar activity worldwide concerning dolphins.
Also, we reviewed the latest on the California orca legislation, and recount what happened when we received promotional materials featuring a captive dolphin. Plus, a healthy bear cub was killed in a Swiss zoo – zoothanized!
