The first guest of this show is Susan Wagner, President of Equine Advocates. The urine of pregnant mares is used to produce estrogen and hormone-replacement drugs such as Premarin, PremPro and PremPhase – and now DUAVEE, a “PremPro-Lite” which contains Premarin. Susan explained the history of these drugs, how harmful they are to the people who take them, and the incredible cruelty inflicted upon the horses who are factories for their ingredients.
Bob Ferber then joins Peter to discuss and provide legal analysis on the recent incident where an emotional support dog bit an airline passenger in the face.
Peter continues with news that Delaware has banned its cities from enacting breed specific laws concerning dogs, and that Portland, Maine is considering a ban on performing exotic animals. Then, Lori welcomes Veterinary Neurologist Stephen Hanson who explains seizure disorders in companion animals, especially dogs.
