Peter is back from Las Vegas, where he covered this year’s SuperZoo, the huge pet products trade show. He shares his impressions with Lori, admitting it’s just too much to do in one day. In upcoming shows, we will be reviewing our favorite products, many of which are being tested by our own dogs and cats in our world class testing facility.
Then, Veterinary Neurologist, Stephen Hanson joins Lori to speak about Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome in dogs, commonly referred to as doggie dementia. Hanson reviews the early signs, how to make the correct diagnosis, its progression, and how it can be managed. As in Alzheimer Disease in humans, there are many unanswered questions surrounding cognitive dysfunction in dogs.
We conclude with Lori and Peter sharing the results of two of our dog’s genetic analysis, courtesy of Embark. Overall, we were very impressed with the service and information provided from the saliva samples. Listen in and see if you agree.
